beware of scams and safety issues but at least they offer 24 hour security
Staff attentive. Room clean but major security concerns. Not a great experience overall.

I enjoyed my stay in Fort Madison. The room provided comfort and cleanliness. While there was a lingering smell in the hallway, it didn't interfere with my experience. The breakfast, though light, offered enough variety. Great value for budget travelers like me!

The stay was primarily for visiting the nearby historic sites, and the location was quite convenient for that purpose. I appreciated that the room was clean and spacious, allowing us a comfortable space to relax after a day of exploring. However, the check-in process was a bit confusing and took longer than expected. Overall, the hotel met my basic needs but could use some improvements in administration and service.

The location was good. There was a good restaurant just down the road for dinner and a good diner across the road for breakfast. I appreciate convenience when traveling solo.
The shower was stone cold both evenings. Staff were not around when needed, and the breakfast did not seem fresh.

The King Room was nice and comfy! Bed was super cozy and the room itself was clean. I liked how spacious it was too. The location was convenient with dining options nearby. Not a lot of noise, so I slept well. Could've used a bit more attention to detail, but overall a solid choice for the price.

Conveniently located near a diner that's perfect for breakfast, making it easy to grab a meal before heading out. The lobby has a cozy vibe that makes it somewhat inviting, providing a place to unwind after a long day.
Check-in can be a chaotic experience. confusion over bookings led to mix-ups for multiple guests, including an overcharge. The lingering smell in the hallways might not suit everyone, as can the somewhat uncomfortable beds. Inconsistent maintenance practices, like a maintenance worker casually wandering into the lobby shirtless, don't inspire confidence in the hotel's operational standards.
